Sihanoukville Ream National Park is located in the southwest of the Kingdom of Cambodia, between Koh Thmey and Sihanoukville, about 18 kilometers from Sihanoukville and about 194 kilometers from Phnom Penh along National Road No. 4. The national park is located in Prey Nop District in Sihanoukville Province and is located to the north along National Road No. 4, Ream Commune, Ouknha Heng Commune, which is located next to the mountain range. To the east, it borders Bot Trang Commune, Ong Village in Ream Commune, and the Gulf of Thailand. To the west, it borders Boeng Ta Prohm Commune and Ouchrov Commune. To the south, it borders the Gulf of Thailand. Ream National Park, which has an area of 21,000 hectares, is not only located near the sea, but also in the Cardamom Mountain Range, with mountains scattered throughout the area and varying in altitude from 50 meters to 284 meters. With small and large mountains and two islands, Koh Thmey and Koh Ses. The dense forests along the mountains, the blue mangrove forests, the sedges and the seagrass along the coast are all home to many different species of animals. The sandy beaches have a beautiful landscape, decorated with sand dunes, large mangrove trees, calm sea water and islets near the coast, which makes this national park a place to serve the tourism sector and can earn money for the country and also serve in scientific fields such as pharmaceutical research and agricultural development.
The national park opened on November 1, 1993 with an area of 21,000 hectares, of which 15,000 hectares are coastal land and 6,000 hectares are sea water. The national park has beautiful beaches, coconut plantations, mangrove trees, mountain forests and many species of birds.
