Virachey National Park: A beautiful landscape of natural forests, mountain ranges, plateaus, valleys and streams, accompanied by indigenous communities and a variety of wildlife, awaits visitors at Virachey National Park.
Virachey National Park covers an area of 3,325 square kilometers, is located in Ta Veng and Vuong Sai districts of Ratanakiri province, and extends to Siem Reap district of Stung Treng province, and is located about 60 kilometers north of Ban Lung, the provincial capital of Ratanakiri. This park is the largest in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and also the largest in the entire region, including Laos and Vietnam. In addition, the park is considered the largest protected area in Asia. This is the only place in Cambodia, as well as in Southeast Asia, that has preserved its original biodiversity without any human intervention. There are trees that are thousands of years old, grasslands, hundreds of species of birds, including white and black pheasants, elephants, rhinoceroses, and many other mammals.
