The large-scale international culture tourism event on Cambodia-China
On April 30, 2026, President of the Cambodian Tourism Association, Oknha Chhay Sivlin, was invited to attend the Cambodia-China Mixed Martial Arts Festival “The Spirit of Bok-Too and Shaolin Martial Arts, Reuniting in Front of Angkor” organized at the northern perimeter of Bayon Temple, Siem Reap Province by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Shaolin Temple, the Chinese Embassy and relevant parties. The event was presided over by His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and was attended by more than 2,000 national and international guests and citizens.
The program showcased Cambodia’s valuable traditional martial arts such as Bok-Too and Kun Khmer, along with famous Chinese martial arts such as Shaolin and Tai Chi. The event was also broadcast live, attracting more than 500,000 viewers from around the world.
The festival aims to promote cultural exchange and strengthen friendship between Cambodia and China while expanding tourism potential and promoting national cultural identity to the international market.
