Tourism and Healthcare Connectivity between Cambodia and Malaysia

Oknha Sreat M. Sophear, Vice President of the CATA , was invited as Guest of Honor, together with CATA members, to attend the Networking Dinner Reception between Cambodia Travel Agencies and Malaysia Healthcare Representatives. The event was organized to promote Malaysian healthcare services and to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical and wellness tourism. On this occasion, Oknha Sreat M. Sophear delivered a welcoming address, highlighting the importance of strengthening collaboration between the tourism and healthcare sectors to respond to the growing demand for medical and wellness travel among Cambodian travelers. She emphasized the key role of travel agencies as trusted intermediaries, as well as Malaysia’s strengths in quality healthcare services and medical tourism.

She also reaffirmed CATA’s commitment to supporting sustainable regional partnerships and long-term cooperation between the tourism and healthcare sectors. The event was held on 6 February 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel.
